Actions Stuck Pending

Normally Actions (Create, Delete, Sync) in Opstella will create Tasks in Opstella Core (Back-end) with Pub/Sub System that will communicate with various integrated DevSecOps Tools, Observability Tools.

Once the action is completed, those tools will send Pub/Sub back to Opstella Core (Back-end) to update the Action Status (Create, Delete, Sync) as Completed.

In some cases, actions may fail, you can force resend the Pub/Sub to Opstella Core (Back-end) by clicking the “Send To Pubsub Core-Event” button in the Opstella Core (Back-end) interface.

Access Opstella Core (Backend) Console

1. Go to Management Admin Panel opstella-backend.CHANGEME.com/admin

2. Login with Opstella Core Credentials

   

Send To Pubsub Core-Event

1. Go to Worker > Tasks ; filter by PROCESSING or WAITING

2. Re-run Tasks ONLY IF ANY TASKS HAVE BEEN UNFINISHED FOR TOO LONG (More than 10 Minutes)

   Unfinished tasks would have the status of any thing but not COMPLETED

   4.1 Select any of unfinished task(s)

   4.2 Select Send To Pubsub Core-Event

   4.3 Click Go

3. If any task never have the COMPLETED status, check further on the underlying application logs, infrastructure, etc.

   This may indicate that any orchestration performed by Opstella cannot be done properly.
